In 2017, Indigo Invest acquired a unique and prime property together with a partner in Dusseldorf. The office building, designed by the renowned architect Oswald Mathias Ungers, comprises around 21,400 sqm of high-class office space with its own underground car park. The building was originally purpose built as the headquarters of the energy supplier E.ON.
The building is centrally located in Dusseldof, in the direct proximity of the three high-ranking cultural institutions of, North Rhine Westphalia – Museum Kunstpalast, NRW-Forum and Tonhalle with excellent connections to public transport, the autobahn routes and the airport, all close by.
After the former tenant Uniper moved out, the building was fully re-let to the Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia under a long-term lease agreement. The handover to the new tenant took place as planned in mid-2021. The building was sold to a large institutional investor based in Germany in the same year.
